Months later Winnie Nwagi achieved a major breakthrough when she released Musawo. In 2016, she dropped her first single, Embela. Due to her success at the music reality show, she caught the attention of record label owner, Benin Mugumbya. In 2014, she participated in the Coca-Cola Next Rated Competition and emerged the second runner-up of the competition.
She worked in the sales department at the latter organization. Winnie Nwagi had brief stints at MTN and Good Coffee Africa. And her father refused to support her by paying her tuition.
She was unable to further her education because she became pregnant in her final year in high school. She attended East High School and Migaddee College for her secondary school education.
